Plan for reopening: Texas Gov. Greg Abbott issued three new Executive Orders on April 27 relating to the Open Texas plan in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Page 38 of the Governor's Report to Open Texas states that:

As outlined in Governor Abbott’s executive order GA-18, individuals may engage in outdoor sports, provided that the sports do not include contact with other participants, and no more than four participants play the sport at any time. Please note, under executive order GA-18, individuals shall avoid public swimming pools.

With this order, the pool will remain closed until further notice.

Important: The potential new rules and regulations related to COVID-19 will require us to consult with vendors and legal counsel before any decision can be made about opening the pool. This means that there are potential delays even after the government allows public/semi-public pools to open.
